How It All Started

The idea of Overscoop came about during the COVID-19 pandemic. As food sampling was not allowed, the overscoop allowed friends to try another flavour from the display. Overscoop first opened its doors at Yishun Junction Nine on 18 July 2021, in conjunction with National Ice Cream Day. The quaint cafe features its iconic instagram-worthy waffle cone wall which took social media by storm. Quirky, fun and bubbly, she wanted to create a cozy meeting spot for friends and neighbours to visit and capture memories.

Waffle Beginnings

The story behind our waffle journey was a wild ride! The waffle takes minutes to finish but MONTHS to create. We wanted to design the perfect waffle that would be crispy on the outside and airy on the inside, and most importantly - complement the gelato that was served with it. 

After months of trial and error, we finally landed on the perfect recipe (in our opinion). Now, every time we see our customers digging into our waffles, we can't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment.
